Digital business models are a bit of a misnomer. It’s not digital technology that defines them; it’s their ability to create exponential value. Unfortunately, most forays into the world of machine learning and artificial intelligence have been fairly underwhelming. But Apple hopes to change all that by banking big and bringing on developers and experts to build out their slow-moving AI division.
